Bristol98 19 December 2012 03:49 PM

Not yet, looking forward to a tipple or three the weekend!

Graz 19 December 2012 04:35 PM

:wonder: Is it JD with honey in it, or honey flavoured with JD?

Dale17 19 December 2012 04:38 PM

Honey flavoured jd pal, it's very very nice

Ash170990 19 December 2012 04:45 PM

its fooking minging, mind you i dont like normal JD lol

dpb 19 December 2012 04:51 PM

Mate drinks the straight jd, even he baulks at this one

I much prefer whisky myself

StevieL81 19 December 2012 04:54 PM

I tried it ages ago when I was in Canada earlier in the year, it's alright, I preffered drinking the various selection of spiced rum they have over there

PeteBrant 19 December 2012 04:57 PM

It's lovely stuff. Smooth as you like, it's really nice on its own over ice, but if you do have it with a coke, it turns it to a maple syrup kind of deal. Yum.

Got a bottle sitting on the side, waiting to be wrapped.

My Son asked for a bottle for xmas.

May add a bottle into my drinks list for chrimbo to give it a try

I used to drink JD as a teen to look cool. Never liked it and glad I can finally say it's nasty stuff. Expecially after getting wrecked on it.

J4CKO 19 December 2012 06:07 PM

I like JD, tend to just have it with ice, preferable to ****e like Bells but inferiors to a decent Scotch, quite a fan of Brandy, Remy Martin Specifically, going cheaper and buying stuff like Martell is yak and going more expensive doesnt seem to make that much difference, I think any 70cl bottle of spirits, if you spend between 20 and 30 quid it will be ok, go much cheaper and you get paint thinners, does anyoen really like the taste of Bells ?

Might try the JD Honey stuff but would rather try a glass than spend on a bottle and end up not liking it.

bells is disgusting-how anybody can say they enjoy it is beyond me. I like my whiskeys, one of my favorite is Jim beam.I used to mix with cola but it tends to give me acid now so it's either straight out the bottle or mixed with stones ginger wine or ginger beer and a slice of lemon :thumb:

Truss 19 December 2012 06:36 PM

Not keen at all on the honey.

Dingdongler 19 December 2012 07:18 PM

JD is my regular tipple and I love Bourbons as well.

I tried the honey version and it was disgusting, took two sips and had to tip it down the sink.

Don't waste your money

riza 19 December 2012 07:33 PM

scooby0809 19 December 2012 08:48 PM

Matteeboy 19 December 2012 09:31 PM

Yep the courvisier champagne version, still too harsh IMO, more you spend on them the smoother it is, asda have got a decent remy martini on offer at mo for £35 rrp is £55 bought myself one today for Xmas drink at home for when I've done with families lol

bustaMOVEs 19 December 2012 09:38 PM

Hine is also good.

Matteeboy 19 December 2012 10:22 PM

A decent Remy is good, not so keen on Hennessy.

Courvoisier XO is usually around £140 a bottle!

There are a few diffrent version of the c xo so price is all over aswell as the other stuff, if you want to spend £5k then you can get the ultimate lol but most I've spent on brandy is £1k and I made it last belive me :D

Matteeboy 19 December 2012 10:44 PM

You spent a grand on brandy?!!!!

Bristol98 20 December 2012 11:23 AM

Gentleman Jack is soooo much smoother than normal JD, there is also a Gold I think, was 70 notes a bottle so haven't tried it (yet) and the Single Barrel Jack.
