boost gauge help - hope i dont cut wrong wire!

Am I cutting the right hose?

Am I better getting a new section of hose as its pretty tight?

cheers.

On my V3 all of the vacuum hose was the reinforced type and I had a nightmare trying to refit it.

In the end I gave up and got myself some silicone hose and replaced it.

What model and year?
Is there no unused nipple on top of the inlet manifold, front n/s?

bigballs 15 December 2012 11:50 AM

sorry forgot to say, its a 2002 WRX

Turbotits 15 December 2012 12:02 PM

You could use that one. But as above check for a spare nipple. Personally id rather use the dump valve vac pipe

bigballs 15 December 2012 12:11 PM

no spare nipple on this one.

Ive been told to avoid the dump valve pipe as it can give strange spikey readings?

confused now.

Just used that on mine last week, same model. Works perfectly

alphaj12 15 December 2012 06:13 PM

Plenty of slack on mine too, no need for extra hose

MrNoisy 16 January 2013 11:44 AM

I use the dump valve pipe on mine, don't have issues.

Just 'T' into the small vac pipe on your recirc valve and hide the pipe work under the intercooler :thumb:

All my scoobs have been done this way with no issues what so ever.
