52 reg was the earliest Uk version if I recall. Keighley trade center I'd stay well clear, do a search you'll find this company has been problems in the past

Don't buy a car from there!

f1_fan 11 December 2012 08:47 PM

Walk away, that car doesn't quite add up. The seats are definitely bugeye STI/V7 seats.

As others have said this company do not have a great reputation!

As Rob said, Earliest are MY52

Oh and by the way that is a WRX!!! says all you need to know about KTC and associates :thumb:

the numbering system only makes sense as it is applied by STi / Subaru Japan - it effectively relates to the yearly models / rally car homologation

which makes v8 relate to a 2002MY car only, hence the last Bug-eye car..........
the first Blob-eye is a 2003MY and would be v9

I noticed the 5 speed box & the brake calipers. strange thing is the reg number brings up and sti prodrive which is very dodgy:eek::eek:

6 previous owners & a recorded registration change in september

A few thing about it pointed to a WRX the Box,brakes,Black carpet, Wrong steering wheel and de-tango`d lights so more than likely had a frontal with the added benefit of creative paperwork

Alyn, as I said "officially" :thumb:

EDIT:

Just trying to make the point that version numbers only apply to JDM STi's and ended with the last of the classics.

For the Newage changes are covered by the model minor change code.

And for UK cars, if people would quote "Model Year" info (10th character of VIN) rather than a vague "on a 52 plate" it would all be a lot easier :D:thumb:

DrDiesel 12 December 2012 11:25 AM

Always check the Model / Engine Code, on a small metal plate, in the engine bay.

Blob-eye started MY03, from '52' plate.

good luck
