Idle up and down
 

I've got a leak from the headers gasket could this be the prob ??

It's fine when I first start it up from cold but as it gets warm it starts :-(

I think you may need to provide more information, what year/model may help

I have a similar problem, when its cold idles very well but as soon as the car gets up to the temp idle is messed, i have changed the idle control and hasnt resolved as well.

Mine is a V4 TypeR

It a classis 2.35
Ok had the car mapped the pitcher day all good on the way home cld hear a blowing from headers turns out its the header gasket started the car up today and the idle is up and down 1 to 1.1/2

the header leak will effect it Daren..

Also engine is starting to loosen up now that its run in and mapped so it might need an adjustment but first fix the header leak and take it easy until sorted.

iv got a simuilar problem wen mine starts up i need to keep it on a rev it just cuts out if u let it start anybudy any ideas i was told crankshaft sensor could be away

Unlikely. What year?

So today checked all pipe work one loss on the inlet man went out for a drive and. It was ok for about 5/10 mins now on idle it drops that low it cuts out can smell petrol a lot :-( any thoughts

Funny that, my idle has just started to climb. Up at 1500rpm for some reason. Was gonna check the ICV ? Classic running on SimTek
