Frosticles 04 December 2012 09:43 AM

Awful.

f1_fan 04 December 2012 09:48 AM

What a mess!!! Racing at 140mph in the rain???? What sort of mentality thinks that's a good idea??? Morons!

BlkKnight 04 December 2012 09:52 AM

Darwin award?

TelBoy 04 December 2012 09:59 AM

Rich young boys + fast cars + red mist = funeral services.

But there are people on here who have driven just as recklessly on public roads, they've just been lucky to get away with it.

oliVeR6 04 December 2012 10:03 AM

This was covered yesterday on Edition38. One of the members mates was a passenger in one of the cars. How they survived I'll never know when you see some of the pictures!!

Well I would hope there's not too many who have raced at those sort of speeds in the rain. I mean I know SN has more than its fair share of idiots, but this is a different level of stupidity altogether!

Jazzy Jefferson 04 December 2012 10:19 AM

The Daily Mail... :D :D
People die in DEATH RACE!!!

Actually it was the opposite. I read this on an M3 forum. Apparently, the `craze` nowadays is for young lads who CAN`T afford fast cars, to pool their cash (probably dole money) and actually hire / lease cars like these and then go and rag them!

Camsedin 04 December 2012 12:19 PM

deserved what they got tbh..
At least they took each other out instead of someone minding there own business.

TelBoy 04 December 2012 12:20 PM

These were both lease cars?

Ste RB5138 04 December 2012 12:58 PM

Shocking story, 140 mph in the wet is crazy.
They were lucky they didnt take out more innocent victims, losing control at those sort of speeds they must have slid across the carridgeway for a long distance.

Let he without sin cast the first stone.

richie001 04 December 2012 01:35 PM

I did hear that as their friends were injured/dying...the other's were fighting each other :cuckoo:

TelBoy 04 December 2012 01:37 PM

You didn't just hear it, you read it in any of the press coverage, including this Daily Mail article.

:cuckoo:

That`s correct. There was a Merc involved too. That car had stopped for fuel I believe and when it caught up, a fight broke out about who was to blame :cuckoo:

Speak for yourself. Its down to personal responsibility and consideration for others.

Les

Dave Y 04 December 2012 04:41 PM

Of course there is plenty of that on the roads .;);)

alcazar 04 December 2012 04:45 PM

Just read it....from the first paragaraph, I somehow KNEW this was going to be cars full of young Asian men:(

specialx 04 December 2012 04:48 PM

Where does it say that? The witness was Asian that's all I can gather from the article.

Yeah, me too
Plus you're assuming the witness is Asian based on his name

The men involved are understood to be from the Bangladeshi or Pakistani community in east London.

Says that about 3/4 down the page...

Why are you repeating what everyone else has already read and understood?

c_maguire 04 December 2012 06:59 PM

Maybe the whiplash claims will be plausible this time?

RobsyUK 04 December 2012 07:43 PM

One good thing from this crash was that it kept me in MK all day as trying to get south was a nightmare. Fortunatly they died during the wee hours so not many were hurt / killed.

It's sad to hear life is lost but in the same respect. - fools. Those speeds in the wet with rear wheel drive is asking for trouble.

The state of those cars is truly shocking.

I'd like to see on a traffic cops programme how the crash started etc with those computer graphics. I like stuff like this..
