Battery drain

My car is a 1999 Turbo 2000, the car has not been modified since 2005.

I have a problem with my battery going flat. The battery was charging but would not hold the charge. I bought a new battery 2 weeks ago which has made starting the car easier. Since having the old battery off it is holding its charge.

Have checked the car with a amp meter there is a constant 0.3a being used. I have checked most of the fuses in the drivers footwell, some I could not get out. Interior light is off, the boot light is off and I have being unclipping the radio front.

There does not appear to be any short under the bonnet.

Any idea what else it could be? :(

Have An old tractor fitted?

Yes, the car has a Tracker Retrieve fitted.

The tracker in my P1 drains the battery quickly. If the car is unused for 2 weeks the battery is pretty much flat. Got myself a CTEK charger and trickle charge the battery quite regularly especially in the winter.

as above tracker or alarm back up batteries shot.

Could it be the start motor?

Battery was fully charged and I started the car Friday dinner time and it didn't start on the first 2 turns of the key.

I had driven the car to work that morning and it had stood for 4 hours.

Had same problem on my old wrx, Changed batt, changed starter as was told battery ok when tested. Got new battery changed under warranty as after 6 months would not hold charge.
Turned out to be sigma alarm intermittently draining battery.

Little update:

Clock was disconnected and the 0.3a went, but then the car wouldn't start! The alarm is wired in to the clock it seems. Disconnected the alarm and that seems to be the root cause. So next step is to get an auto electrician to take a look at it.
