I have been trying to get hold of him & succeeded but you just have to be patient.

He is extremely busy 6-7 days a week sometimes until late in the evening then having to drive home.

He will contact you but if the issue is pressing you may have to look elsewhere.

Hope this helps mate

certainly look else where, if you cant get him now then you never get him when things go wrong, he then never turns up to put the issues right, thats if your lucky and your engines not died,
I will keep repeating myself the guy is a crook.

Just noticed on romraider forum he is possibly using the SD stuff and calling it his own SUPERROM. Storm brewing methinks.

Is that not just the same as open source remapping?

it is open source mapping but the point is the software that most diy o/s mappers use is regarded as poor by pro mappers , yet it seems it may be being used by pro mappers !

I rang him last week and left a message, less than 2 hours later he'd contacted me back and less than 24 hours later the car had been mapped. Can't fault that service can you? Cars running sweet as a nut, no complaints and no complaints from any of the other people i know who have used him.
If you don't like him, don't use him, simple as that really !!!!!

The Pink Ninja 15 November 2012 07:06 PM

How long has the carberry SD been available?

steve ex vauxhall 15 November 2012 07:08 PM

Carbibbles have started a thread on here now looking for a copy of a map!
Dangerous games! :Suspiciou

jayallen 15 November 2012 07:29 PM

Ive never seen a mapper get such mixed reveiws than the said mapper...its crazy.

Dave-W- 15 November 2012 07:34 PM

Can be hard to get hold of as he is so busy as said
But Andy has mapped my car for the last 3 years with no issues at all
And he is a bloody nice bloke :thumb:

scoobiewrx555 15 November 2012 07:39 PM

There is absolutely no reason why a pro mapper cannot use open source for financial gain as they already do in the USA. Carberry is still Open Source!!

To play the game properly though tuners that use open source should at least donate to RomRaider for normal OS MAF mapping and Carbibles for Carberry, which is the right thing to do and is all that Carbibles/RomRaider ask. They're are happy with that and so should you be.

Start inferring that selling Open Source mapping is morally wrong and you will find yourself to be a touch unpopular with certain individuals as well as ending up looking like a complete knob!!

What Andrew Carr has done though is bang out of order. Not only is he passing something off as his own that someone else has created at great time and effort, not to mention with great talent, but he hasn't even donated to the chap for the pleasure of making money off the back of it.

There was no reason why he couldn't trade this as Carberry, giving Carbibles/RomRaider their dues, make appropriate donations, and sing the virtues of Open Source. It would be the right way to do this. You still need the tuner and his skills to make it happen, and this is a whole different ball game to MAF mapping the factory ECU, a lot more involved and complex.

BTW....He's taken all the SuperROM stuff off his site. If SuperROM is all his work why not leave it all up there without fear of repercussion. Liars and cheats never prosper and end up looking like complete c***s, never to be trusted again!!

+1
But I think the issue here is he might be using the carberry software and claiming its his own (if that's true)
But IMO I bet most os mappers are using the same tbh :thumb:
