Bugeye i take it?

It's said that the newage jdm cars are better than their uk counterparts, although the uk car is still a very capable machine, slight differences in gearing, it has the auto feature on the ic spray where the uk cars are manual press, should have a vf34 which gives a little more top end power but looses slightly lower down the rev range (marginal)

Most people don't like the rear wiper :lol1: probably one of the more common pet hates of the jdm cars ;) I've had both and am currently still in my jdm, I loved my uk car don't get me wrong but its the extra little bits that make the jdm a better car imo like the quick steer racks, lower gearing etc that you notice the difference, and the jdm model has a better crank over the uk engine of the same year.
Not sure if the early newage jdm cars came with equal length manifolds like the later blob versions, but if it does you won't have the traditional Scooby burble that you often hear, but like I say I'm unsure in that tbh, hope that helps a little :)

Thank you very much for that. It is a bug eye with a vf35 from an independent dealer at 5k. Is insurance a head ache? Note I am 39 with many years no claims! It look a good motor with reasonable mileage. Cheers

If its an import it should have a vf34, the 35 was the uk spec I believe so probably been changed at some point I would imagine, insurance should not be that bad IMO given your age and no claims etc, use a specialist, there are insurance specialists on here give them a try bud, Keith michaels aka moley on here, or A Plan people seem to do ok with :thumb:
