Suspension knocking

Hello, is got my 2001 wrx a couple of weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I can hear a bit of a knocking sound coming from the suspension.

Don't know a lot about cars but think that it's the drop links or bushes. Can someone tell me as an estimate how much this work would cost. Pretty rooked just now after buying and insuring the car. I what would happen if I just left it till mot time in 6 months?

Thanks

not too sure how much they cost but the drop links or bushes are easy to replace yourself if you dont want to fork out money to a garage to do it for ya...

I would like to try myself but don't have to a garage or drive or axle stands though if it easy enough I'd be happy to try. I oh and have very few tools, and certainly no specialist ones.

Could be the actual shockers, do a google search on Subaru knocking suspension and it will bring a shed load of them up

Try spraying some grease into the arb bushes first, sorted mine out this way recently!
