Some of you know me from the Ring trips, some of you don't...

But can anyone suggest a good-paying job for me? (good enough to fund my Ring trips anyway!)

I don't mind relocating, i have good GCSE's but the college near me is so cr@p i walked out on my A-levels which i studied for 6 months (Phys, Chem, Biol and Maths)

I'm time-served in car mechanics, as some of you know i'm pretty damn good at it in fact. I'll even go abroad if needs be. I'm excellent with Joe Public, with a reasonable gift of the gab, and a mind that absorbs tons of useful (and useless!) information like a sponge!

...Anyone willing to give me a chance to show my full potential and get out of this SH!TE £4.60 an hour "and you can like it or lump it" job in Halfords?

Thanks for reading,

(a frustrated and underpaid) Owain :D

"Reasonable gift of the gab" :D :D Understatement of the year Owain :) In seriousness though, anyone who saw the work Owain did on the Richard's RS200 at the Ring last year will know that he is is a pretty damn good mechanic, so someone give him a break.

Cheers
Chris

if theres any spare jobs flying around for a IT type blokey then i'll happily take one off your hands :D

i've resorted to applying to join the police force this week as the IT market is currently dead and since my car got written off and i had to leave my last job i haven't been able to find anything else :(

With so many people in the groupbuy for WW products there must be an opening for a top polisher. :D

SiDHEaD 13 May 2002 12:42 PM

I once posted a message of the same content, for an IT job when i left school, similarly after basically walking out on A-Levels.

I got offered an interview and I got the job, and its great :D The only downside is 80mile round trip per day.

So let's hope something turns up for you too...

Hi there. A friend of mine called 'Cut and shut' Bob runs a small car lot in Brummy. Anyway hes looking for a smart, outgoing chap to run his forecourt while hes away in Bangkok. It really has good promtional opportunities(he sells 5 cars a week so its expanding!!!). Anyway think he pays around 4.80 a week so you are twenty pence better off!!!! He also has a bonus scheme-every car you sell you get an extra Tenner!!!!!! can't be bad eh? Anyway contact us if you want the job. Will arrange an interview(best to dress smart casual as Bob doesn't like Suits!).
Hope this helps you're pal Pops

Good luck mate, if i knew of a job going i would tell you and recomend you too, you have a great attitude and that's 90% of the battle.

Getting that Fiesta Rally car all the way to the ring and back was amazing (what were you thinking man. :D) Someone very much of the same aproach as me, if it's possible try, if it breaks, use your initiative and fix the damn thing!

Someone give this guy a break, he is a goodun! :D

My mate Ted is after someone to tend to his pigs. They require mucking out once a week and need feed 2/3 times a day. He says the weekly rate (cash in hand) is £98.25p. For another £5 a week he will let you take his missus to the shops......Blutes

Owain, I was testing your interpersonal skills young man. Did you leave your sense of humour behind the cycle sheds when you left school ? With an attitude like that you won't get past the aptitude tests;)..No offence and mind how you go..Blutes;)
