Help with glue...

Hi guys,

Recently bought myself another Impreza. I have noticed on the o/s headlight, it appears to have marks on it, that I'm guessing has came from having headlight protectors or similar glued in place.

Any suggestions how to remove this as I don't fancy paying over £300 for a new headlight due to cosmetic damage!

Many thanks

Matt

You should really upload a picture so that people can see it for themselves

Autofinesse Citrus power is a good place to start. If not try either Tardis or Iron X.

Don't let the Tardis or the Iron X dry on the surface though as it can do more harm than good

It's hard to get it to show up in a pic. I'll give it a try though!

What year car is it?
Classic shapes have glass headlights. But I can't see how the glue would go on the lens if it had projectors.

It's a blobeye impreza. Honestly not sure if its glue or not. I will try a few of the suggestions and try get a pic up.

So plastic lens. It could be from a previous owner travelling abroad, and put the beam benders on. If they are left on for a while, the glue distorts the lens and it "melts" on from the heat of the bulbs.

Ignore my earlier comment. I mis-read protectors for projectors!
