Weird through progressive boost

I was on the m62 yesterday and was progressively accelerating the all of a sudden the car felt like it hit a brick wall for a split second. i looked down and the engine management light came on for that split second and the revs dropped to 0 then came back alive. it's done it twice now any ideas ??

Might be over boosting. Ecu cuts ignition if boost pressure goes over limit. It is most noticeable in cold weather. Might be a sticky waste gate is solenoid valve.

^^^ thought they cut fuel on over boost not ignition???

Could well be just over boosting mate, cool weather leaning out the mixture causing more boost,.

Feels like hitting a big rock. Mine did it for weeks until I got a perrind 3 port put on and had the mat adjusted to open waste gate fully.
I thought they cut ignition and fuel to prevent lean out but might be wrong and may depend on ecu. I am sure a mapper will put me right.
