my98 ecu with sti3 engine...
 

Got a possible nice STI3 engine to replace my the engine(headgasket gone) in my 98uk turbo wagon. Will the current 3 plug 8s ecu plug in and run or do i need the ecu from the donor car too? 6s i think it is. or swap the manifold from old engine to this STI one? ive heard that esl can mod and map the 97-98 ecu so would that be an option?

You need to swap everything over to run the 6S or just go ESL and map to whatever spec you want.

The engine im looking is at is complete, minus the turbo, i have a vf28 to go on which isnt a million miles away from the vf23 which i believe is on the sti v3. So would a 6s work? or change over manifold and injectors and run the 8s until esl is done?
