Handbrake seized, adjustment...

Hi, as I'n title I was hearing a squeel on the back end so investigated and it turned out to be a seized handbrake. I have serviced all the braked now but I just want to tighten the handbrake at the lever end not the brake end. If I look at the back of my handbrake lever there's a ten mm bolt do I just wind that in to tighten?? Many thanks

Just wind the nut up at handbrake a bit to take up slack on the cable the brake end should be done first though i'e the handbrake shoe ajuster nuts
