Anyone want to babysit my son? ;)

Really want to see this, Bond is the only reason I would go to the cinema.

Give me a thousand quid and a BJ and I'll do it....:norty:

scoobeenut 26 October 2012 09:40 PM

I can thoroughly recommend this, I was lucky enough to see it last weekend at a cast and crew screening at the Empire Leicester Square and on the big screen it was fantastic. The views and locations used in London for the filming are awesome.

dpb 26 October 2012 09:57 PM

Maybe see this w/e

Ste RB5138 26 October 2012 10:08 PM

Looking forward to seeing it, only heard good about it.

Ok, but where are your Bond glasses, Clare? Have you got them now? Which frame did you eventually decide on? Please tell. :luxhello:

Not a fan of Mr. Bond, but I do like Mr. Craig. I look forward to watch this film.

RJM25R 28 October 2012 06:39 PM

Watched it, enjoyed it.

SwissTony 28 October 2012 08:02 PM

Took my two sons out last night for a bit of dinner, then off to see Skyfall. Thought the youngest at 9 would get bored and fall asleep (he tends to do that ) but after supplying them with enough fizzy pop and popcorn they were set and both absolutely loved it :thumb:

I thought it was very good indeed, back to basics with some nice touches like starting the saga again, M etc

Loved the "welcome to scotland ' part :lol1:

GlesgaKiss 28 October 2012 09:44 PM

I loved it. Was very clever and cool. Some of the shots of Shanghai were spectacular!

Didn't expect the later showings to be as busy though. Even the 9:30pm I went to was sold out by the time it started, as were the 9:00 and 9:15 showings. Seems to be an extremely popular film, as I first went to a cinema which is usually deserted, only to be told the next showing (9pm) was sold out.

My advice is to book tickets in advance and get there at least 15 minutes early to queue outside the screen in order to choose your seats.

pimmo2000 29 October 2012 08:19 AM

Book the seats online :) going Friday

Dave1980 29 October 2012 09:37 AM

Saw it on Friday night, best Bond in my opinion. I am a bond anorak and loved it.

urban 29 October 2012 10:22 AM

Watched it on Saturday - good movie.
Bit far fetched though, but suppose that's to be expected.

ScoobyDoo555 29 October 2012 12:23 PM

Echo comments tbh.

One of THE best Bond films to date imho. Even down to the Adele (of whom I'm not too keen) soundtrack.

A hopeful indication as to how Bond will progress with the times?

V good.

Matthew_JDM 29 October 2012 12:29 PM

Thought it was awesome too, saw it twice lol. Thought Casino Royale edged it for me though.

Jamescsti 29 October 2012 12:30 PM

I must be the only person to be slightly disappointed with this film, it was a good film but I just didn't think it was as good as Craig's last 2 outings as Bond. I can't quite put my finger on why at the moment though.

Ill no doubt buy it on DVD to watch it again though. It's a bond film after all.

Agreed. Fantastic film but Casino Royale just pips it for me.....with THE best opening scene of any Bond film.

I thought it was actually a very un-Bond-like film, and loved the nods to other films too - some of them very subtle.

mart360 29 October 2012 01:29 PM

Good film,

some big plot holes / continuity errors (imdb here we come :))

some clever touches, and references to the previous films

Thoroughly enjoyed though

Mart

I think that's what bothered me slightly with it, it didn't really feel like a bond film to me.

As said though some nice nods to the other films.

LSherratt 30 October 2012 09:06 AM

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. I thought the bad guy, Silvestor(?) was played very well. Obviously with any big action film these days, there are unrealistic bits in it and you're thinking to yourself 'that would not have happened in real life!'

especially when helicopter crashed and whole manor(!) exploded..

Norman Dog 30 October 2012 01:34 PM

I haven't seen the film, but let me guess...

He takes on multiple bad guys single handed, destroys various cars, trains, helicopters etc. Shags a fantastic looking spy maybe?

Great entertainment. If you're 12. :D
