Anyone had any experience with these? Heard a few bad things regarding timing chains. How do they compare to the newage sti? Are they really that boring to drive?

only had a B5 S4, but yes, it was boring. Great fun and very easy to go quick in though.

Go for the rs4 bi turbo instead mate

Oh well . its just 10k more aye. But if money is not an object than deffo rs range. From my experience they tend to understeer even more than a scoob if you drive it smoothly. You have to be agressive to make a quattro system work. I'll try to dig out a track day vid , but above mentioned forums will give you great knowledge as well.

Ah yes sorry meant a b5 rs4 bi turbo as later ones b6/7 are 4.2 v8s
