Alternator ???

Basically chaps I'm unhappy with how my alternator is looking and want to do something to smarten it up.
Is it possible to split and paint the outer casing or will I be embarking on a host of problems ??

What about a nice carbon cover to hide it :thumb:

Rally tech are developing a cover for it to match the excellent quality slam panel and other bits at great prices

Nice but it doesn't actually cover it, you can still see the alternator. Don't really want a cover to be honest, would rather paint with some wrinkle finish paint if it can be taken apart easily.

Yes I have started slowly polishing my alternator with metal polish and very slowly
Scared to take it apart but I've seen some fantastic shiney examples on people's engine bays so curious how they did it
Mask it up and use a dremmel ?

Not just bolted matt it's got 3 wires in the back casing that are very hard to get to for removal, your better off just removing the front cover and leave the back in place for painting like I did with mine
