Brake Dust...Removal
 

What do you use?
I have hard front pads that create loads of dust which sticks to my wheels
like s--t to a blanket.

this will do the trick. worked a treat on my rims.

Iron X is a great fall out removal. Would strongly reccomend removing the wheels first thoguh to carry this out

Alternative you could use some Wolfs Decon but just don't spray the area of the discs too much.


My Bluestuff pads cake my wheels in dust alot. Your be suprised how much of the dust goes on your front wing as well.

Just swing down the workshop Dave and I'll give her a clean and get the wheels cleaned up mate:thumb:

I use this stuff, it is acid free and quick to work. Apply and leave for a couple of minutes and then just wash it off.

It can be diluted 10:1 for light dust, or if the brake dust is really stubborn then 4:1 and I have never had it fail and believe me I am the laziest car cleaner in the world. :)

This evening I've been restocking my car cleaning bits and pieces, and ordered:

2 x Meguiars lambs wool mitts
2 x Meguiars quik detailer
1 x Valet Pro bilberrry wheel cleaner
2 x Dodo Juice BTBM shampoo

I was going to wash the cars today but realised I had run out of Meguiars NXT shampoo so I thought what the hell I may as well buy enough stock to see me through to the end of next year. :)

Do you want a blue peter badge or something:lol1:

Sod that, I went to one of those once in the works van and when I saw them using the same sponge for the wheels and everything else I thought at least it's not my car in here.

As for an Emmaroids it's worth considering I suppose, but she will have to learn how to do the job properly first. :D

Only thing I'd have her clean is my chedder stick:norty:

I definitely don't want a 'Jim fixed it for me' badge anyway, and besides you don't spend good money on paintwork and then wash it with fairy liquid suds do you? :cuckoo:

tbh shes not very good at either wheel cleaning or cheddar stick cleaning, but she try's hard

emmaroids is hardly a lady so no offence caused.

None for me, now run off and press some apples or use your crayons. :D

Thats why the Bilberry wheel cleaner is so good, it's not acid based and leaves the crayon in place and just removes the brake dust. :thumb:
