could be completely wrong but believe they are your fuel pressure regulators?

greenfumb 18 October 2012 05:28 PM

+1 fpr they are, they go to a black canister on the lower left of the passenger side top mount if i remember correctly

bubba j 18 October 2012 07:08 PM

ahhh, one of them seems to make a clicking sound... which it doesnt seem to do all the time, and you can feel it pulsing.
every now and then i get a clicking sound in the engine bay, it can be heard from either side of the heads, has anyone suffered this. If so what was the cause

anyone else got some advice for me... would be much appreciated:)

greenfumb 19 October 2012 04:26 PM

go aftermarket fpr set to 3bar pretty standard you will have something pretty to look at as well lool

Turbotits 19 October 2012 05:32 PM

Nothere not fpr's. What there are i dont know. I removed mine when i changed my fuel system. The o/e fpr is on the end of the fuel rail. The parts pictured if removed you can look straight through them and blow/suck in both directions so there no a one way valve or anything like that

hmmm, cheers for that turbotits.. i did take them off and realised you could see straight through them as well as blow/suck...
still confused as to why the pipe feels like its pulsing... could it be a failing fuel pump??
cheers dave

Turbotits 20 October 2012 06:02 PM

The pulsings normal. Thats the pump pumping and regulator opening/shutting to keep a steady pressure

prodriverules 20 October 2012 06:09 PM

They are fuel pulsation dampeners

cheers for that guys, really appreciate the info
