Ebay Question .... Do Ebay use their own staff to check out the items you are selling
The reason for the Title is that I am selling some Fish on Ebay that have recently become against their policy for me to sell.
I amended my listing so it didn't read that I was selling thme, but offering a length of airline and some info, but at the same time saying I was selling said fish elsewhere on other websites. Now, not 2 hours after me changing the wording, someone is asking me certain questions, and it seems (fromt he questions), they are trying to trip me up so they can remove my listing again. My last message back, I started the message with :- Sorry Ebay, ........ Newsflash... Whilst typing the above, I have just seen another Email come in from Ebay, and it is a 'listing removed' email. So, Ebay will vet your listings in a sneaky fashion |
From what I can remember you have never been aloud to sell livestock on ebay
|
As above, you can't sell animals/pets on ebay, for obvious reasons too! :thumb:

Nope, livestock ie Fish and corals are readily available on Ebay
One of their current exclusions to the rule is Aquarium Fish ;) , Ebay are looking to remove the sale of Livestock fully though. |
Well you learn something new everyday.

I tried selling a multi tool set with a head lamp and torch and they removed it as its an offensive weapon ie knife lol so relisted under different heading and description they removed it again so I contacted them with a dispute and guess what no joy but after searching eBay found numerous outdoor hunting knives which are banned but kitchen knives are safe lol not if in the wrong hands but yeah there are sneaky twats

Quite often sellers selling similar things will report you to get your listing removed.
There are also trolls who just do it because they can. |
How do you post fish?

you bag the fish up, with plenty of air and then place in a polystyrene box, any voids filled with poly chips, if the fish is a tropical/marine, in cold months, place a heat pack in the package which are good for around 24 hours giving off a low heat. Package up, mark as livestock and put a sticker on the parcel 'This way up' How do you think Tropical marine fish and tropical fish come into the country ? :D |

I`ve bought all my Malawi online. Some come by Royal Mail but they are supposed to come by specialised courier.
