best body shop
 

Can anyone recommend a good body shop preferably in the Glasgow area. Don't mind travelling a bit to get the best. My front bumper needs a respray. What is the average cost for a front bumper respray, No damage etc. Was quoted £300 today from a local body repair centre and thought it was quite steep but it's been a long time since I have used a body shop so not sure if that is the average rate.

To remove, prep and paint a badly stonechipped bumper, and to re-fit it...?

About £300.00 is reasonable to be honest.


Bizarre as it sounds, sometimes it is better to buy a new bumper skin ( not too expensive) and get it painted.

Swap them over yourself, and sell your old bumper, thus saving on labour costs.

Used to do that quite a lot..

Thanks for coming in on this Neil. Forgot to add that I will be removing the bumper myself and handing over to body shop so that's why I thought it was expensive.

Given the correct information now,the price for a removed bumper would generally be around 200 give or take depending on stone chips/marks etc
