I'll have to have a chat with you Sunday about prices... as I still need to get mine re-mapped. Although mines coming off the road end of month and being garaged until Feb/March.

Bicco 18 October 2012 09:01 PM

If it`s anything like last weekend, you won`t need to worry much about launching, soooo little grip, even with the diff locked, I was spinning all 4 off the mark, couldn`get my 60ft under 1.89. :( On the plus side, it was quiet, get in as many runs as you want!
Good luck guys! :)

Thinking about going on Sunday but not sure wether I would need
A helmet? Apparently if doing 110+mph at finish s helmet is required?
Also can you just turn up on the day or do you need to book? I have v5 type r running approximately 420bhp am I likely to hit 110mph?
Thanks Ben

Just turn up mate, you dont have to get there mega early. remember your driving license and I'd bring a helmet just to be safe.
Harry had to buy one there last time otherwise they wouldn't let him run.

Track was awful, so slippery I was spinning up through first and second. 60ft time was 2.1 seconds !!!!!
Managed a 12.7 at 115 mph.

The other Matt managed a 12.6 at 110 mph and 1.9sec 60ft.

tubbytommy 21 October 2012 05:51 PM

i got cold but had a nice bacon roll.

Bicco 21 October 2012 06:24 PM

Bummer, it was stupid slippery last weekend too. :( On the plus side if you ran that time with a 2.1 60ft, you should be on for a Very low 12 or even high 11 on a better day. :)

I managed a 12.0@118 last Saturday, with a 1.9 60ft. I ran 1.6 60ft`s last year with 100bhp less!

Hopeing to head back next spring, with warmer weather and hopefully a better preped track!

Yep, I'd be on for another go in the spring.
Not sure it's capable of a high 11 but deffo a very low 12. I was getting much better 60ft times in the summer but was running quite a bit less power, suppose the more power you have then the more wheel spin you'll get. Could of adjusted the AVCR to hold boost back a bit in first and second which might of helped.

How much power you running buddy, must be quite a machine to run a 12.0 in those conditions.

Bicco 21 October 2012 08:28 PM

It did 448 on the rollers, so somewhere around there. Got no video of my only 12.0 but this one is close 12.1@117, excuse the really poor reactions, still playing with getting it to laucnh properly!

FredW 22 October 2012 12:33 PM

Likewise my first run was my fastest with an 11.7+ with a 60' of 1.9 sec but grip was pretty poor and got worse as the day went on. As Dan said I think the highlight of the day was the bacon roll. Nice to meet you guys and put some faces to names.

KAS35RSTI 22 October 2012 03:15 PM

It was nice meeting you Fred & everyone else. Very nicely spec'd Subaru & a great time, a bit of drift/drag action!

Got 2 videos if you need them. Just let me know.

tubbytommy 22 October 2012 03:42 PM

oh and it popped of the intercooler hose on the rr, but we got there in the end.

FredW 22 October 2012 04:55 PM

Nice one - yes there is a certain law that comes into force the day before mapping sessions. Pleased its all ok for you now though.
