found some rust.............whats best to do?
 

right i was loading something into my boot today and noticed alot of very small rust spots around the outside edge of the boot seal just below the rear window,its an 04 blobeye wrx so im gutted to see it has rust as its not even 9 years old. can i treat it to stop it spreading further? i really cant afford for it to be re-sprayed

depends on if it's coming THROUGH, or going down from the top.

If it's coming through a trip to a bodyshop is a good idea, soonest. Won't be so dear.

If it's going down, grind/sand it back to bare metal, paint with a rust cure and either spray, or brush paint over it.
