As far as I am aware you cannot put an ECU from a JDM car into a UK car. I believe that the pins on the ECU are different and that there are different sensors on the JDM engine.
The other bijou snagette is that, if you could attach an STI ECU to your UK and get it going you would blow up the engine within about 1 mile's driving ;) The STI engine has much stronger internals to cope with the higher power etc.

Risk of borewash, cam/crank sensors reversed, 8250 rev limit, forged pistons, cam differences, mapped for different turbo and 100 RON fuel. All in a bad deal. Have emailed you with another suggestion.

Is it possible to fit a ECU from an WRX or STI import into a my00 uk car to give more power. Has anyone done this and knows the results first hand.
