Would you consider a HIGH mileage bug eye?

I'm still on the search for a Bug eye WRX wagon. Would you consider one with 150k on the clock or does that just sound plain crazy?! Apparently it has a FSH although I haven't seen it yet

Your thoughts.......

It really does depend on how its been looked after. IMO a well maintained 150k car is better than a thrashed 60k car.

I have a WRX with 129k and a forester xt with 137k both drive good as new and have had nothing but service items since new.

So no personally I wouldn't be put off at all providing the history looks good and the price is right.

I paid £2300 for my blobeye because of the mileage (124k when I bought it ) but it is better condition than the majority of cars I saw with half the mileage.

Good luck :thumb:

buy a car on how it drives and condition/service history

around 11 years ago when i was looking for a cavalier gsi2000 i looked at 3 and the 1 with 200k on the clock was the best so i brought it and ran it for 3 trouble free years

A friend of mine has a classic wrx wagon with over a quarter of a million miles through it. Apart from the obvious it is in great nick and never misses a beat. It had a remap at about 200k!

I don't mind high mileage cars if they're well looked after but I reckon I'd think twice about a 150k car. If its what you after and its cheap as chips go for it.

Its safe to say the car has 'lived long and prospered'. All it takes is ensuring servicing is done on time and generally look after the car.
