Fitting 4 Stiffi fins
 

Hi,

I want to fit 4 Stiffi's to my wing. I have seen a video online, how to fit them, but it uses the screw holes on the under side of the wing. You can fit 5 if you do it this way, but I think 4 evenly spaced looks better. The issue is that you cant use the screw holes to attach the fins with 4.

Has any one elce fitted 4 on Scoobynet and did you just use double sided take to fix them?

If you use double sided tape you won't have any after a couple of days, for the sake of 1 more or one less I'd fit them as they were meant to be fitted.

I was all set to buy 5 stiffis myself but spotted another thread on here saying what a poor fit they can be, even when you screw the top they can still 'ping' off the bottom and start flapping around unless you start bodging it with expensive bonding agents.

Also someone else saying that '' in the flesh'' they look rather cheap and have a poor quality finish.

Considering how much they cost you'd have thought they would do the job they're intended for without you having to start improvising and hoping they'll stay in place!

Sorry to come into your thread but i bought 2 stiffies last weekend. They are a **** fit on the bottom, quality are **** and the service are ****. Perrin has had a nasty letter from me regarding this.

To go back to topic i would use double sided tape like the ones you use on number plates but cut them down to suite
