leap pad (kids)
does any of your kids have one of these, im thinking of one for my 6rd old daughter.. just wondered if they are worth it
|
My lad has one (4 years old) and it is sat in a draw only used a hand full of times..
They are a bit boring and awkward to use.. i did see the other day google have brought something out for a £150 like the i-pad.. that would be the next thing for him.. |
I think 6 is too old for the leap pads.
For maximum future proofing I'd buy her an iPod Touch. Loads of great education games and you can set the parental lock and just enable chat, facetime, etc when she's ready. Our children's reading, spelling & typing has made huge progress with them messaging their family & friends. |
My wife bought our daughter (5) a leapster for Xmas last year. I said we should have got her a Nintendo DS.
My son has a DS. Guess what she plays on. Steve |
thanks for the replies

My Mrs got one second hand off her cousin for our 17 month old son.
£5 wasted! |
Kids today, why not get em a stick and hoop. Never did the oldies any harm. Lol ;)

My 6ry old has one, and she likes it,
But it seems a bugger to charge and I hate the closed "ecosystem" it exists in |
