Xs power 20g turbos anyone running them

Ive been looking on forums and can't find anyone running xs power Turbos ? There manifolds n exhausts seem to get a good name but heard nothing regarding turbos?

Anyone running one 18g/20g

It's a split in the other eBay turbos kinawaga/jaw warehouse etc the English pretty much hate them but had a look on American sites and they swear by them and love them?? Are these recieving a different turbo because there's loads of horror stories from here and other forums

My thoughts buy cheap buy twice as surely these people can't sell a turbo for £300-500 brand new when you can get a second hand 20g from the man andyf ..

Anyone on here running these turbos and have any bhp figures as I can't see these making the 440bhp claims

When I had mr2's people bought xs stuff and complained about it being cheap and cr*p all the time so beware

some of the chinese £200-£300 are not too bad now , most use bigger T3 bearings now ,
so are stronger than they used too be , but the internal parts are heavier , so will spool a bit slower, they are certinaly not as bad a people make them out too be on here ,

but if you want a cheepish turbo ,I would go with kamak/kinguwa turbo, they make good power and are good quality

The kinugawa turbos are around £400/500 mark so seem to be priced better so to speak than the cheapo American and Chinese £200 nock off ones which if I remember correctly there was a one for sale on eBay a 20g from a sn member that made 330bhp maximum which for a 20g seems poor.

I was considering a. Vf43/48 but there hard to come by and are a fortune .

I'm contemplating an 18g but can't find any or any decent ones as andyf's versions come and go quick

another option is to buy a kamak/kinugawa 18g/ copressor kit + a genuine td05 small 16g and convert it , + rebuild and balance at the same time ,

you will end up with a decent turbo for little money

Seems poor - flipping eck, you could make more than that on a vf24 or vf28, and probably even more on a 16g.
My advice would be if you want to save money, go for a known second hand 20g like an AFP or Harvey one.

I picked up my AET rebuilt one for £400, and I'd trust AET 50x more than any knock off merchants.
In terms of turbos, I'm afraid the old saying "you gets what you pays for" definitely seems to apply!

The Harvey and SC40 turbos regularly deliver over 400bhp.

If you want a good turbo, then you've got to pay the going rate. You're not going to get a bargain basement turbo that will perform as well as a proven and more costly one.

Oh and XS Power are utter crap, IMO.

16g does 330bhp with ease. For 400bhp, I personally would ignore the 20g, they don't make the power.

It seems the eBay 20g's are obviously exaggerated on eBay as I've never heard of any doing even close to 400bhp...

I'm not saying I'm going to buy one I'm asking for info on them . I've emailed the bug about the xspower one but had no reply.

I'm defnitly In Agreement that andyf's Turbos are the one. It they come and go very quickly

Defnitly agree from the looks of it you get what u pay for

What's the max bhp for a vf43?
