Lacquer peeling.......anyone else?
Mine went quite badly on my scoop: '98 UK car, 559 Bright Red.
I had it re-sprayed. I USED to have 22B vents, but sold them and replaced them with the originals. Before I went away I'd noticed some bits peeling on those. NOW they have almost completely lost the lacquer. Shall I have THOSE resprayed too, or do them myself satin black all over? Any ideas? |
If lacquers peeling mate its normally when the basecoats been left too long before the lacquers been applied

Just send them on down Jeff;)

Seems common on classic scoops. I've got two like it.

Mine is going as well so I'd be interested to hear how much?
As the bonnet and bumper has a few stone Chips i was thinking of getting it all done. But have to consider value of a my00 with 85k and not spend too much ! Thanks Steve.. |
Asked around and £50 seems the going rate.
That's a lot of money for two little bits. And yes, I realise that there would be no little work involved, it's just that the bits are so small. I think Satin Black might get an outing. |
