Help - boot leak

Hello all

I am struggling to contain a fairly large leak somewhere in my boot, i have checked and replaced boot seal and this does not seem to have resolved the issue.

The Car is a 2001 WRX blob eye

The water seems to be coming in further back near where the seats are but none of the upholstery or parcel shelf are getting wet.

I suspect that maybe the sealing on the back window is the cause but auto glass want £120 to remove and reseal.

Before i bit the bullet has anyone had similiar issue, or any ideas where the water is getting in from?

Cheers

Dwarf, torch and a hosepipe required!

dont need hose pipe lol all it ever does here is rain lol

must have had this problem on the car for a while as the muppet who used to own the car has thoughtfully drilled a drainage hole in the spare tire well, which he didnt treat with anything and is now happily rusting away:o

thing gonna get window re fitted cant see any other access points

2001 blob eye ?
Has it got the standard spoiler still?
rear lights on a classic are very prone to leaking, could be worth a look.

sorry 2001 bug eye

i have replaced the boot as the old one was damaged and was leaking from spoiler - which is what i though the problem was when i bought the car.

new boot is sound and no sign of water comming in from there

I have not though of the lights so once this down pour has finished i will nip out and inspect those seals

cheers

Have you checked the wheel arches, i say as i've recently discovered a hole the size of a tennis ball on mine when i peeled back the interior trim in the boot.

Although mines a 98 classic turbo 2000 so you may have a bit more rust proofing on yours...

As you have had rear end damage fixed check that all the grommets are refitted even the grommets around the number plate light wires as.
