Ok so may not be. Big thing for most but firmware 1.8 dropped today meaning ps1 games now work on the vita, psp work anyway,

Ive fully loaded it with final fantasy 4 7 8 and 9 you can expand the screens and add filters, the new oled screen of the vita makes them look lush.

Maybe not everyones cuppa but ive been waiting for it for ages, loads of ps1 games on store now

I've loaded on some of my PS One games; Silent Hill, Resident Evil etc :)

Might have to dust mine off again then, a great device that didn't have enough games until now.

Took me w while to figure out how to expand screen, had to google it

Do you have to buy them again or can you rip and convert like for the PSP?

You have to buy them again. I guess because of touchscreen functionality and compatibility tweaks.
