Confidence building at home?
I was incredibly shy when I was younger. Got a summer job which involved having to speak to members of the public. Did my confidence the world of good.
Good luck, if you feel it'll help then go for it. £150 isn't really that much if it does help at the end of the day.

Get a job in a telesales centre. You'll have to talk to people then, plus you get paid for it.

done a company assistance programme of CBT training which helped but never saw my end goal realised

They do a course on cleaning.... i've emailed the link to the ex-wife !!

I wouldn't bother. You'll probably be crap at it.
