Daughter boards
Would a mapper re-map an ecu with a scoobyecu daughter board fitted, or an immortal performance daughter board already fitted or does the daughter board need to be an ESL one?
This is for an early classic wagon 95 Cheers |
I think the scooby ecu is simply a chip that alters the perameters and is not mappable,.

For example there is this ecu on flea-bay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-ECU...c#ht_500wt_922 Is that a daughter board or chip? |

Before paying over the odds on ebay please remember that a brand new warrantied ESL ECU board is 295+VAT and the latest generation (twin map, etc) have v2.0 for 92/6 and v1.1 for 97/8 printed on them. Earlier versions are less capable, so factor this in to your bid. I am often surprised by the fact people seem willing to pay close to new money for the early gen boards. It is also important to remember that the v1.0 92/6 board is just an EPROM adapter and is not live mappable. I frequently see people trying to pass them off as live boards, but they look completely different. HTH Cheers Andy |
