white type R project

here is a few snaps of my ongoing project car :)

not everyones taste but i like it :)

not 100% on front splitter so that could be gone sooner rather than later.

not finished so there may be 1 or 2 things that look that way lol

it goes like stink and brings a smile

nice mate, not over keen on the black bits but still looks good

killbill 22 August 2012 12:03 AM

do you mean the front splitter things or the carbon fog covers and vents ?

was just trying to make it a little diff from just all plain white :D

harry_p1 22 August 2012 12:52 AM

banzai2009 22 August 2012 09:04 AM

I like it the black bits give I aggression keep the splitter 2 reasons it looks nice and secondly it's different to normal p1's etc that everyone including me have fitted be different mate

JonMc 22 August 2012 09:07 AM

Looks good, again the black bits are an acquired taste and all white can look just as good, but it's your car and as long as you are happy that's what matters:thumb:

type-rob 22 August 2012 09:11 AM

type-rob likes this

killbill 22 August 2012 09:12 AM

cheers, yes the splitter is an odd one for me lol there is another part to it that goes across the front but it just doesnt sit right so i removed it.

thinking of putting the white fog covers back on,i have a cold air feed pipe that i will be seting up to fit from fog cover and onto the wingbox i have to fit.
but that wont be decided untill i manage to sort out simtek and mafless.

Bealescooby 22 August 2012 12:08 PM

i got the same splitter on my type r as i wanted differant from the norm
carbon wrapped the centre piece

i took my bumper off to fit
not easy to get straight
will see if i can get a pic of it fitted when on the ramps

killbill 22 August 2012 10:46 PM

that would be great mate.

i had it fitted but in the middle it took a dip,it was up tight against bumper though.

did you have to trim the height of the small fins to get it nice and straight ?

Bealescooby 22 August 2012 10:52 PM

did not trimming m8
drilled hole in each fin first
Started with the middle screw 1st
left it just loose enough to move then and fix outer fins
I had to fix the very ends into underside of bumper to pull the sides up

dj219957 22 August 2012 11:24 PM

looks good mate

killbill 23 August 2012 12:52 AM

i have something similar to this to fit
http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=2053

when its time to fit the Greddy fmic and go mafless then the k+N will be removed and i have a simota CDA and air feed to fit.

item has been painted and just need to decide location of air feed (side or from bottom)

i have ketp the stock white fog covers and bonnet vents aswell as the white grill and crystal clear lights.

so when i get fed up with the carbon fog covers, carbon vents, grill etc i can swap it all over to give a fresh look :)
