There's been a series of aero articles in track driver recently - if it's going to be any good it'll need to be solid enough not to deform under the air pressure and should run as far back under the car as possible as well as being as wide as will fit. Ideally it should be complemented by a rear diffuser to ensure that the air flow is good the whole length of the car:thumb:

With 600 horses yes makes a hell of a lot of difference mate

I have constructed my ABW arches around the splitter as well mate and also fettled them so there isn't any fugly gaps! http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1339433713 http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1339433874 |

what about proper angled front cannards on the front bumper, surely air passing over them would force the front down?
|
Would say proper front splitter from good and strong material will just help in more front end grip and more downforce
Have look on the Sierra,Sierra EVO,Voltex which running extreme splitters, those will help in cornering, but can result in lower top speed Here is picture of the Memo Racing EVO http://www.advanwheels.com.au/media/v4/IMG_1586.419.jpg and Voltex http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...production.jpg Voltex catalogue http://www.voltex.ne.jp/catalogue.html Some people say, front canards will/can help with front end downforce at high speeds Rear diffusers are effective(just have look on JDM Spec C which has been equipped with rear diffusers and this help in high speed stability at back) and with good design and good flat floor can be winning formula Jura |
i have the rear floor cut out but have twin exhaust so no room for defuser
