It's only since ive been routin round the engine bay installing a rotated setup and relocating the over flow bottle and front mount ic and so on
Any one had this problem too

Gotheridge2007 09 August 2012 04:19 PM

:wonder: have you got your AC on ??

Gotheridge2007 09 August 2012 06:00 PM

No mate ive taken the compressor/pipes out due to making room for reverse manifold
Thanks

How many fans are attached to the rad? One of them is linked to the ac so you may have upset the wiring if you removed the compressor and bits

Goosed coolant temp sensor

My first fan is always on as well, but then again, my car's headgasket isnt long for this world, so at 20c+ outside it needs at least one fan working constantly to keep the temps from climbing too fast..

What is the temperature gauge indicating?

Gotheridge2007 10 August 2012 12:45 PM

Thanks for the reply's folks. When the fan kicked in I undone the temp sensor and the fans turned off is this right?
Also I was told looking at the car face on. On the right hand side of the radiator at the bottom theres a white plug. And was told to undo the plug as i have took out the air con pump/compressed is this right ??
Thanks

Any help in this still a problem??

banzai2009 04 September 2012 06:08 PM

I'd check the plug under the inlet manifold first then try resetting the ecu these are easy and common ones to eliminate I had same problem

Gotheridge2007 04 September 2012 08:17 PM

Check as in replace the temp sender??
And how easy isit to reset the ECU?? Never done this before on a scooby.
Can some one tell me if I'm right about the white plugs at the bottom of the rad please?

banzai2009 04 September 2012 08:46 PM

The sender check the wires make sure there ok as they can corrode from water also if you've been fannying about round there like I was its easy to knock out n there's a load of was to reset one is to disconnect the battery for around 20 mins to be sure there's a longer way also check here tells you everything.. Locate the green and black plugs under your steering colum easy to find connect them and turn on your ignition Itl tell you an error code a long flash around half a second is ten and quick flashes is single on that link shows you everything mate I don't think the air con will have anything to do with fans as I disconnected mine n never had any chew tbh mate hope this helps
