Building boost pressure very slow
Hello guys! I have a problem with my WRX -95.
After I replaced the timing belt after I fixed an oilleak on the left cylinder head my car doesnt build up boost as it did before. I know everything with the timingbelt etc are correctly installed. So this is what happens. When the car was working good, it started to build pressure about 2000-2500rpm and have about full boost around 4000-5000rpm. But now it starts to build boost at 3000rpm and I never reach full boost cause the rev gauge gets in to the red field. And I never get that turbokick either. Feels like im runing a N/A engine. I have checked for air leaks, but not pressure tested it. I donr SEE any leaks. I have checked the wastegate and it is not blocked or anything. I Have checked the exhaust system and cannot find any leaks. I think i hear a leak though when hitting the throttle. I have HKS EVC witch i think is working fine and should not be the problem. There is also 3" exhaust mounted on the car. All help is appreciated! Sorry for bad english/ Robert |
your timing is out by the sound of it mate adjust it and go for a drive.

Do you mean my timing like in the ignition or the timing belt?
Forgot to say that the car is running with no problems otherwise, its just slow boost. A bit bad idle but I had that before aswell. |
