1998 sti type r clutch pedal sticking down??
 
Hi readers having problem with type r of clutch pedal staying down only after changing gear at high revs if anyone has any ideas would be much appreciated,cheers

Check if you have a spring on the slave cylinder and the clutch fork

+1. i had this happen on mine,replaced the spring,never had the problem since.

Also try adjusting the free play at the pedal. There is a bit you can adjust down there. It is a really common problem.

oh right cool do i need to replace the whole slave cylinder or spring and where would i find it?

Dont replace it, look at if there is a spring attached to the slave cylinder and fork if there isnt then put one or replace d spring. And yes check the play on the actual pedal.
