need help for Defi RPM Gauge -> no signal!?!
hy!
ive a problem with my defi RPM Meter. here are my defis mounted: http://www.100nxteile.at/defisnew1.jpg my problem is -> all defis have signal and runs perfect, but my RPM Gauge becomes no signal. ive a impreza GT (Classic Turbo my March 2000) why i become no signal? my RPM Gauge is the 4. .. must bee this gauge on first place? -> from CU goes the cable to: 1. Boost Gauge 2. Oil Temp 3. Oil Pressure 4. RPM 5. Exhaust Temp 6. Water Temp can anyone help me? or gives a 2nd cable from Ecu Wire .. for RPM Signal? the original Defi rpm wire is 1 cable in Blue... thats right? hope anyone can help me greets Wolfy |
Yep you should have 1 blue wire running from the speed sensor on the ECU to the gauge, I'm not sure which pin it comes from at the ECU though, If the gauges all power up from the daisy chain the problem must lie with the speed sensor wire.

hy.. here :
here is the pic
http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/files/my99_1.jpg .. ive use 135 / 14 but i become no signal.. the gauge lights up and so on.. gauge is ok.. the CU think is ok too, all other defis runs.. or is 135 / 14 the wrong one? or must be the RPM Gauge the first Gauge from Control unit? not the 4th? |
It shouldn't make any difference in what order the gauges are set up, I presume they all daisy chain off each other for power?
You would be best off asking one of the mappers which is the correct speed signal wire from your ecu as I am not sure myself :thumb: |
hy!
can anyone tell me, must the RPM Gauge
the first gauge from Control? or can i use it after Boost, oiltemp, oilpressure, watertemp? the problem is not cleared ,o( its the only from 6 defi gauges was not run |
It doesn't make any difference how you daisy chain the gauges.
You need to check that you have the correct wire. |
I'm new to all these gauges, but have you set the right no of engine cylinders on the link controler?
