Obsessive compulsive hoarders.
Anyone watching it?
What a scheming couple, manipulating a clearly vulnerable old guy into acquiring themselves his house. |
Take it you didn't see the original programme last year then.....?

Saw it differently myself although appreciate what you are saying and it did cross my mind. However for all Andys efforts over the previous year, even if he is scamming, he deserves the feckin house IMHO

I missed out on the house passing deal. I caught the last 10 minutes of it. I appreciate how much Richard's life was improved, but I don't appreciate that some of his stuff was sent for recycling without his knowledge. Even if it was complete rubbish, he should have been told before that was done, if not asked. He turns up in the barn, wonders about some of his stuff which was packed (obviously it couldn't have been breeding maggots, or they would have never have packed it), and on that, the do-gooder confesses of sending it for recycling. Not fair IMO. I wouldn't like anyone to send my stuff for recycling plant or to Oxfam without my permission as long as I am alive and kicking.
If the guy transformed so much with all that help, he would have been able to give his consent to part with his useless stuff that got sent for recycling without his knowledge. Had he tried to cling to that useless stuff, then he could have been talked and explained that it wouldn't be worth it. After all, he eventually did let his lorry full of newspapers go to the archive. By then, he had shown remarkable improvement in his condition (physical, social and cognitive), therefore he should have been involved in the decision making about recycling some of his stuff. They shouldn't have just sent his stuff off without him knowing. |
I think the conversation at the kitchen sink about the Manky dirty piece of kitchen towel being rubbish or not summed up his Rational.
I think if they were waiting for his say so on everything nothing would happen. On another note the yank Hoarders are a different beast all together, Laziness comes to mind more so than disorder |
