HTC phones really are rubbish!

I'm tied into a 2yr contact and tbh from day one it's been rubbish....
I got the phone as at the time I was achievement point crazy on Xbox and getting additional points on the phone was cool...

The biggest bug bare I have had with it from day one is the flash light always turns off if you accidentally touch a button or the screen - stupid when your palm touches it as you trying to shine the light on something..

Few months back it began to intermittently charge and today I figured I'd do something about it.....

I get to the O2 store and hassle free they say here's a replacement phone until yours is fixed... Then the girl says 'have you taken off everything you need as it will be wiped!' no I replied to which she adds 'never mind we can'

10 minutes later it turns out you can't copy from the phone to sim on the HD7...
Anyone here every tried writing down about 100 numbers on a till roll (they had no paper) with a phone dying... What a piece of dog turd.

It must be the only phone in the world that can not do copy to sim... - before anyone says do a back up on the p.c .... I would if it would connect! It connects and then drops off randomly..

Can't wait until the contract ends in feb.. IPhone al the way.

Start a phone vs phone war if you like. The fact is... Apple is good :thumb:

Oh and while I was there I played with the new HTC... That just wound me up even more... The touch screen is pants, you touch a letter and it does something completely different.. .sooner they go bust the better...

Why would you have your numbers stored on the phone rather than the sim anyway? :wonder: I can copy numbers and texts to the sim on my One X :thumb:

Because it's not 1995.

marcevs72 29 July 2012 06:01 PM

the windows phones are crap and always have been.have gone from iphone 3g/3gs then 4 to a htc incredible s and android so much easier to use espcially with the new ics update plus not tied to itunes for everything.

Adam-M 29 July 2012 06:03 PM

My mate sold his iPhone 4 and bought a HTC desire something, ended up smashing the phone up and buying another iPhone lol.

JackClark 29 July 2012 06:30 PM

I love it when people say "not tied to iTunes for everything". What they fail to tell you is they use one program for music, another for back up, another for this and another for that. I just plug mine into the USB slot and iTunes does everything and does it well. Bonus.

marcevs72 29 July 2012 06:56 PM

nope its called htc sync...only extra is android market which has more than the itunes store.

JackClark 29 July 2012 07:04 PM

Thanks for i letting me know I'm right, everyone else here knows I don't need reminding.

errr, no.
HTC's on android rock.

Beat the crap out of iPhones due to the openness of the platform.

There's nothing my laptop can do that my phone can't, only my phone is also a sat nav and a phone of course, and a tonne of other things.

I can even edit office documents on it.

Sounds like a classic case of someone blaming the product when it's the software ( and the user) to blame...

marcevs72 29 July 2012 07:15 PM

the new ics update has really pushed the htc's forward with a tonne of top features.

..

Another absolute favourite, Android I far more locked down than iOS. You say Root, I say Jailbreak.

marcevs72 29 July 2012 07:36 PM

i think the word i am looking for is........"whatever"
its a phone and after having both iphone and android prefer the android.this whole iphone is better than everything else is so out-dated.when it first came out yes it was the best BUT everyone else caught up.now im off to have fun in my sccoby as phone talk ends up with the local nerd spouting their phone is amazing.

Ha ha.

Obvious Troll is obvious.

I'm talking more about the freedom to get the kind of apps that you might want - for example free google navigation software that actually works.

Office document readers/writers.
The freedom to browse your phone as a dircetory (or even a device).

I don't really care, people love apple phone, I used to have an Iphone, moving to an HTC was like "seeing the light" in terms of using your phone as you actually want, rather than how apple think you should, but whatever.

BE happy with your £500 handsets....

JackClark 29 July 2012 08:10 PM

LOL. iPhone does everything you say it doesn't.

Oh how the Fanboi roles have reversed. Bunch of Android loving sheep.

RobsyUK 29 July 2012 08:38 PM

I'd rather be in 1995 and have all my details on the sim. What if you smash the screen on your phone / get it wet.. the phoens ruined.

You can't blame user for not having the basic option of save to sim or phone.

Fayes number is on that phone!!!

You really are stuck in the 90's somewhere, on Android your contacts can be sync'd to your google account meaning you still have them even if you lose your phone. I don't have a problem with iPhones, its the smug w4nker injections the owners get when they sell their souls :)

Everytime I add a contact on my HTC, it automatically updates my google account with the contact details. Lost phone, I can block & wipe it from my pc the next time it's turned on. New phone, put google login details in and it restores all the contacts.

RobsyUK 29 July 2012 09:15 PM

I dont have a google account. Hotmail yes... n why in the shop did they not advise this? oh because the spotty 17yr old is a retard.

Im enjoying my One X. I think you bought the wrong HTC tbh.

RobsyUK 29 July 2012 09:25 PM

IS the X the latest one? the bigger one? I had a play earlier and with club hands couldn't even type my email address in - to google how to transfer files over... and couldn't do it!
