where is the diagnostic connector on my 97 turbo?

Hi all having a problem with my 97 subaru impreza turbo 2000, i took this into a garrage today to get the diagnostics tested. But we can't find the dl 16 connector. Has my scooby got one? if so where is it please?
Thanks,
Brian.

I dont know what a dl16 is but if its whats known as a obd2 plug in my language no I don't think it has one. It should have a plug under the dash to connect to subaru select monitor but I don't think any generic code readers will work on it.
Have you got a check engine light? If so use the test procedure found either on here or on jolly green monster site to read it. No equipment is needed to read & reset fault codes. Its a piece if pizz when you know how.

Thanks for the reply, the engine keeps on cutting out when on the move and we think it's some sort of a fuel problem. There is no check engine light even when the problem starts so its quite a mystery.

Check the wiring under the back seat to the fuel pump, most likely the culprit

Just done an onboard diagnistics test and it picked up a fault No 23 mass air flow sensor so i hope thats the problem. Thanks :notworthy
