To be fair, yes he got the wrong runway but he did a hell of a job landing it on such a short runway.

I'm surprised they didn't go around - they must have realised as they were coming in, surely?

It is usually easy enough to see the difference visually between a 3500 foot runway and an 11000 footer as you are flying the landing approach.

ive been in a few, they transport all sorts, when i was in them was transporting a damaged helicopter, of considerable size btw, back from afgan.

Talk about sensationalism, it was half a mile away from the fuel truck, you can see landings like this every day at Manc Airport.
