OK....so what's a good beginners helicopter for outside use please?

Not what you are looking for, but . I wonder how well they fly.

I got about 5 lol! My sister works at shopping channel and gets me good discount on toys!

Any of these on this page are good fun! Ive been flying mine for ages paid £20 for it and its real easy to fly battery only lasts like 10mins but charges quickly again via usb lead on the pc

They are 3 channel and infrared controlled which = indoor flying only.

I have 3 channel ir and 4 channel rc and the 4 channel rc ones are far more fun and great for beginners who want to progress to larger more complex outdoor helis. The 3 channel are a doddle to fly indoors but don't teach you anything for when you want to go to 4 channel +

i fly rc helis and to be honest, if you're going to progress i would forget the 3 channel 'toys' and go for a 4 channel coaxial heli. E-flight blade mcx 2 is an ideal starting point as you can fly it in the house where there's no wind to contend with.
when you have mastered orientation (flying nose in takes some getting used to) move on to a blade msrx to learn single rotor helis. this is a fixed pitch so will not be as twitchy as a collective pitch.
then you can progress through an mcpx for indoor or an SR for outdoor (both capable of 3D aerobatics).
if you want to fly outdoors then in a very small breeze you can try a blade CX2 - again 4 channel, same as mcx2 but bigger.
i am a bit bias towards e-flight blades but there other manufacturers that do some quality kit.
just remember, go for a 2.4ghz 4 channel coaxial heli to start off with and you'll be on your way.

The mcpx is one to go for. Expensive but you wait till you start paying £700 for the buggers

not for a beginner surely?:confused:
you need something easy to control like a coaxial to get the orientation and basic control sorted.
i think you could go straight from a coaxial to an mcpx with training gear and skip the fixed pitch stage but as a 1st model it could prove an expensive mistake.:nono:

If money wasn't an option i'd have gone for the Blade/eflite series but I wanted to learn on something that wasn't going to cost a fortune f they broke/had to be replaced.
