daz3883 12 July 2012 11:12 AM

Cheers for the good comments peeples. planning on lowering it but wasnt sure what springs to get. its roughly a 35mm drop i want. cant go lower than that as theres speedbumps everywhere where i live, was thinking of tein. anyone had these fitted??

T25 DOC 12 July 2012 12:43 PM

Rbon91 12 July 2012 01:04 PM

U got any pics of the side m8. what arch gap have u got at the front?

Rbon91 12 July 2012 07:02 PM

Only pics I have atm. Arch gap at front 25mm ish and rears sit in arch

chrishigham 12 July 2012 09:35 PM

Lovely car, really like the wheels.

Matthew_JDM 12 July 2012 10:10 PM

Wheels look good mate so does the front end. Go for some coil overs

daz3883 12 July 2012 11:29 PM

Cheers for all the positive comments guys, how much would i be looking at for a set of coilovers, ill have to save up a few more pennies 1st tho. wheels an tyres cost me a bit not so long ago so the bank is still recovering lol.

harry_p1 13 July 2012 12:21 AM

Looks great mate:thumb:

Matt23 13 July 2012 05:57 PM

Looking very cool mate.

marshall332bhp 13 July 2012 06:06 PM

love the wheels. not a fan of the chrome mesh i prefer balck. but each to there own. thinking of lowering mine aswell also fancy the tein springshttp://i1146.photobucket.com/albums/...i/e4d46975.jpg. was thinking coilover but spoke to few people and as i dont track the car i wouldnt c any benefit of the 1000 plus they would cost me so had a change of heart haha

marshall332bhp 13 July 2012 06:07 PM

quiuck pic of my pride and joy

daz3883 13 July 2012 06:26 PM

nice car m8, gotta say the blue in these looks beautiful in the sun once all polished up :thumb:, was thinking of springs at first but if you measure the arch gap difference between front and rear, and if you lower it 35mm all round on springs, the rears will sit in the arch whereas the front will still have a 20mm approx gap, so will look like you have reverse rake (or summit heavy in the boot lol), coilovers would overcome this as you could adjust it so that the arch gap is equal all round, this is whats twisting my arm :thumb:

marshall332bhp 13 July 2012 06:54 PM

Blue is defo the best colour mate!! Av since de-tangoed the headlights and blacked the surrounds. I c what ya saying mate about the wheel gaps. Just a feel ad rather put 1k into hitting my 400bhp target :-)

daz3883 13 July 2012 11:01 PM

Good point :thumb: gonna get mine lookin how i want it then start with the performance. thats when it gets expensive. u just want more and more and then some more lol

marshall332bhp 13 July 2012 11:26 PM

Ha nothing will ever be enough! am lucky a work away 2 weeks of the month if I drive it day in day out and probably have 20k in it by now haha

Rbon91 14 July 2012 08:10 PM

Getting up to 400bhp is going to cost more than that mate
I'm looking at 425bhp hopefully next couple of weeks and
Rekon without map it's cost me £1500 to get this far that buying used parts and got turbo at bargin price

marshall332bhp 15 July 2012 09:58 AM

Yeah I no. A was saying ad rather put the 1k it would cost for coil overs into the fund.

marshall332bhp 15 July 2012 09:59 AM

What turbo and injectors u gona be running?

DarrenSTI 15 July 2012 03:37 PM

All looking nice there, hows the rear Vortex fitted on?
Fancy your number plate too;)

Lowering springs are fine for short term aren't they?, dont they put more stress on the shocks over time?

Plus standard Impreza rear shocks are know to knocking, so worth while replacing/upgrading to coilovers, two birds with one stone:- car lowered & super road holding.

daz3883 15 July 2012 06:02 PM

cheers daz lol. Rear vortex is fitted on with the same stuff they use on windscreens. been on since march and no signs of coming off. proper good stuff.
