Confusion about insurance for different models
 

Hi. Looking to get my first scooby and really excited as ive always wanted one but insurance limits my choice. I dont understand the difference in the types but looking for a classic, bug or blob turbo'd one. Ive then had quotes on what Im sure are turbo scoobys from £850-1550. Anyone help me understand why, or what versions cost a lot more so can know what ones I can get. As a rough idea my limits £1200 for insurance if that helps

Ive worked out so far that the STI is always more expensive even if its a 2L not 2.5L one (dont understand that but mehh), and imports are generally more expensive too. Some are advertised at WRX AWD but insurance says theyre a WRX STI but they dont have the STI spoiler so im very confused.

Looking to get one soon and when I do ill post some pics up and start my mods as got recommended the site by a mate. Any helps appreciated
