Pioneer dvd head unit

Hello all

Ive aquired a pioneer avic x1 dvd head unit. Its all been installed so thats all good except its not saving any radio stations or any settings on the sat nav such as home address work etc.

Anyone got any suggestions

Thanks all

Does it save then when ignition is turned off/on its gone?
Are your sound settings etc saved?

Every time i turn it on i have to retune the radio station as well as adjust the sound bud. If the flip out screen is out, and you turn the ignition off the screen stays out but as soon as you start it up, it goes back in and them comes back out mate

Think your ignition and battery feed is on the wrong way round.
There are 2 positive wires, 1 for the ignition (yellow) and other for battery (red).
Pull your sterio out and switch them over. Sometimes the red goes into yellow dependant on your vehicles wiring. That should sort it.

Cheers for that bud. Ill try that tomorrow

So they fitted it for you?

Yep. Ive been left in a mess with it as ive now gotta buy extra wires to connect the sub as well as an ipod connector. Ive looked on ebay and the prices are ranging from £50-£100 quid to get the radio how i want it

Did you buy the unit new? As there should of been a iPod lead with it.
And you can get a amp/sub wiring kit for £50 ish, if it's a big amp and sub make sure you get a good duty battery lead wire:thumb:

Nah was an ex-demo mate. Ive only got a 150 watt amp in the boot.
