Should a afr line be smooth?
 

Hello guys
Just looking at my afr/boost graph the boost line is nice and smooth but the afr line looks spiky all the way along, my other graphs have always been smooth, should it be like that?

It should get lower(richer)as you get higher in the revs. :thumb:

How smooth the line is depends on how the measurements and processed and plotted. If there are a lot of data points and no smoothing, then an AFR line won't look "smooth".

I googled dyno graph turbo afr for an example similar to yours and found this from a 944 turbo. It isn't unusual.

Some dyno outputs use fewer point or averaging to artificially smooth the line. This is only to make the graph pleasing to the eye, and not the real measurement (which would normally look like the graph you have).

Thanks for reply, I thought with the boost been smoothed out on my graph the afr would be as well?on the graph you have fount both the boost/afr are uneven? But the afr does look like mine as you said :) good find

Anyone else's afr look like this?
