Fitting a single din headunit

Just thought I'd share this.

When I decided to change the head unit in my bugeye I spent time looking at my options with a single din I didn't want to spend a fortune on a unit just better sound.
I found the only options I had was to fit a nasty looking pocket what you see in halfords / eBay, or the grey Subaru single din blank costing £25.

I went ahead and fitted the unit first and remember I had some black Perspex left from a previous mod with some guages in a classic a while back.
So a simple measure and a snug fit left me with this.

I have the pocket and i think it's better as it has cd storage, i also put the pocket above the head unit so the controls are closer to the gear stick, had it the other way round first (like yours and didn't like it) but as long as your happy thats all that counts.:)
