subaru remote key
 

I have an 04 plate blob sti. How far away do peoples standard keys open/close their scoobs? Mine doesnt seem to want to do anything over 20ft. is this normal or could the battery be down. The reason i ask is that ive had a clifford remote start system fitted and that key fob works from more than 4x that. its just you have to deactivate the immobiliser with the standard key first. anyone shed any light on this. cheers

My 06 hawk is about the same, and I think the key transponders are the same model so sounds about right to me

my 54 is the same too...works from very close to car(both fobs)

why does your remote need to lock or unlock your car from distance? :wonder:

Ive had cars in the past where the fobs worked from a hell of a lot further. Its just i can only start my car from 20 ft because of the key but can turn it off upto 1000ft away from the clifford remote. just wanted to know if it was working at the right distance
